Eun‑Jin Jang (장은진) is a contemporary South Korean novelist and short story writer, born in 1976 in Gwangju, Jeollanamdo, South Korea. She studied Geography at Cheonam National University and began her literary career in the early 2000s, winning the Jeonnam Ilbo New Short Story Award in 2002 and the Joongang Ilbo New Writers Contest in 2004, which helped launch her into the Korean literary scene.

Jang has published several novels and collections of short stories that explore human relationships, communication, and the nuances of contemporary life. She has received multiple literary awards, including the Munhakdongne Award in 2009, and her works are celebrated for their emotional depth and subtle observation of everyday lives.

Her novel No One Writes Back is one of her best‑known works internationally, translated into English by Jung Yewon and praised for its poignant, picaresque story of a young man’s journey across South Korea with his blind dog. Through this and other writings, Jang has established her voice in modern Korean literature, blending thoughtful storytelling with a compassionate view of her characters.
